The Road to $50,000
$21,670 raised
$28,330 to go
We are working to raise $50,000 to sustain this important program. Thanks to The Farmlink Project, Neil Markowitz, and Nicole Gaetjins, we've kicked off the project with $14,000. Now, we need your help to keep it going. Here’s how your donation can make a difference:
- $100 = Attendance at food provider conferences such as Expo West, Organicology, and the OSU Small Farmers Conference
- $200 = 10 Produce Bins
- $300 = Gas and Mileage for 1 Month for 2 Volunteer Drivers
- $1,000 = Professional Scale for Tracking Food Pounds Saved from Waste
- $2,500 = 1 Additional Month of Project Longevity
- $5,000 = Hire 3PLs to deliver large quantities of food efficiently.
- $10,000 = Food Service Van
- $20,000 = Volunteer becomes a part-time team member
Showing you Care
At its core, Nutrition INSIDE is about demonstrating care. It’s about showing that we believe they deserve better, that we wish their food, their lives, and their dignity were valued. We all know what it feels like to be unseen, to feel as though no one cares. Those are some of the darkest moments a person can experience. If this project can bring even a moment of light to just one person, it will have been worth every effort.
Your contribution will provide nourishing food to those who have been systematically denied access to it. While our primary mission focuses on adults in custody, the interconnected nature of food insecurity means our partnerships allow us to address hunger more broadly. Through collaborations with other organizations, we extend our reach to families and individuals in Portland who are also facing malnutrition, working toward a community where no one is left behind.
Bring Nutrition INSIDE
Click here to donate and support our project through our sponsor, Growing Gardens. We cannot express enough gratitude for believing in us. Your contribution will provide real food for real people. When someone in the meal line encounters a persimmon or blackberries—perhaps for the first time in years—and realizes that there are people beyond the walls who see their humanity, this project takes on profound meaning.
Act Now!
This is your opportunity to be part of the first organization in Oregon - and possibly the US - that recovers surplus Nutritious food and delivers it to prisons.
